Every CERT program has people and teams who go above and beyond - those who lead with purpose, serve with heart, and strengthen disaster resiliency in their communities every day.

Now is the time to recognize them. Nominations are officially open for the 2026 National CERT Conference Awards, celebrating the outstanding individuals, teams, and programs making a real difference across the country. Do you know a volunteer who always steps up? A team that delivered during an activation? A program creating, stronger, more connected communities? Submit a nomination and help shine a spotlight on their impact.

CERT Volunteer of the Year

This award recognizes an individual CERT volunteer who demonstrates exceptional commitment, service, and leadership in support of community preparedness and emergency response.

CERT Program Manager of the Year

This award recognizes a CERT Program Manager who demonstrates outstanding leadership, innovation, and dedication to building a strong and effective CERT program. 

CERT Team in Action

This award recognizes a CERT Team that demonstrates exceptional teamwork, coordination, and impact during a deployment/activation in the community.

CERT Multicultural Award

This award recognizes a CERT volunteer or program that demonstrates outstanding commitment to culturally responsive emergency preparedness and response.

CERT Community Outreach Program

This award recognizes a CERT program community outreach project that demonstrates exceptional dedication to engaging, educating, and empowering the community in emergency preparedness, response, and resilience.
